How could it be otherwise that the South Tyrolean Wine Museum is located in the traditional wine village of Caldaro. In this museum you will learn how viticulture was previously practiced. Through various exhibitions, you will learn about the cultivation of wine from the past to today. More than thirty plants grow in the vineyard, partly old local native vines, which can be tasted in autumn.

The Messner Mountain Museum in Sigmundskron Castle

The castle explains the world of the mountains and the people who populate them. The museum offers tours and fixed routes for visitors. A tour leads around the "Holy Mountain" called "Kora", a tour according to the Tibetan tradition, among sculptures, stuffed animals, symbolic objects, photos and images - the memories of numerous expeditions around the world. The castle and the black steel structures on the towers serve as a stage. The White Tower is the only non-designed area dedicated to the history of the castle and the recent history of South Tyrol.

The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano

The gardens stretch out on a sunny slope above Merano; in the center of the castle, which houses the National Tourism Museum.
The gardens are open from April 1st to November 15th and display a colorful variety of flowers, plants of all kinds and even various flora rarities. More than 100,000 plants in more than 3000 different species have been planted in the four different areas of the plant to date: I Giardini del Sole, Boschi del Mondo, Aquatic Gardens and Terraced Landscapes of South Tyrol.
